It's almost that time again! NaNoWriMo! Who's In?

There's just about two weeks left til kickoff! Who's in this year?

I originally wasn't seeing myself having much time for NaNo this year what with the new baby and all, but it seems that my schedule has cleared unexpectedly. Well, perhaps it's fate's hand to assure this novel gets written?

I'm kinda cheating this year, though as I'm using a novel that's been in progress for 6 years, maybe more. I lose count... I always pushed it back every year to prepare and write the new NaNo novels. Since my novels usually are very research intensive, I spend a number of months preparing for them. Enough that there's really not much spare time to work on the non-NaNo novels. Of course, anything written on it  now does not count toward the 50K goal, but that's okay. I might not get to do much writing anyway what with the baby and all, but I think any progress is better than not using it and working on something new.

Gideon, my right hand man is planning to participate again. This year he sounds pretty fired up to do it. Telling me he wants to aim for 100 words a day. Quite a feat for an almost 9 year old boy to try! I also set it up so that he will get extra credit for this from his teacher. She also said he can bring it in and tell the class about the event. Well, wouldn't you know that really got him even more fired up to do it, lol.

As usual, I'm finding a home in the mystery lounge. How about you all? Plots going? Characters talking your ears off wanting their stories told? What are you all planning to write this year?
