Susan Cox Powell, missing since 2009, turned 30 years old today. It was a somber event, obviously due to the woman's disappearance. Still, it was a day of remembrance and hope that she'll be found and justice will be served.
Nobody knows what really happened to Susan Cox Powell, but she disappeared sometime in December of 2009. Her husband claims that she simply vanished while he was out camping with their young sons in the middle of the night during a blizzard. It's been long publicized that Josh Powell, the woman's husband, is a person of interest in her disappearance; the only person of interest.
A group of people released 250 purple balloons in the air in West Valley City, which is the city from which Susan Cox Powell vanished in Utah. The missing mother remains missing, and her case is still open and actively investigated. Most recently, her father in law, the father of Josh Powell, was jailed on voyeurism and other assorted porn charges. This has naturally brought the entire Powell household under scrutiny. Maybe it's time for Josh Powell to let this go and tell police what needs to be told.
