October has just gotten itself another holiday this year, at least in the state of California. Sunday, October 16, has been declared by California Governor Jerry Brown as Steve Jobs Day, in honor of the late technology tycoon and former Apple CEO's death earlier this month.
In memoriam, many of Silicon Valley's greatest have been invited to a private memorial service at Stanford University's campus Sunday night. Another service will be held Wednesday, October 19, for Apple employees.
Other Steve Jobs Day remembrances scheduled for the day include a special being run on The Discovery Channel entitled, "iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World." The program will feature a handful of people close to Steve Jobs during different points in his life and career, and be hosted by Mythbusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.
How will you be celebrating and remembering Jobs on Steve Jobs Day? Will you tune in to the program? Or, in much the same way that a vast amount of people memorialize Jobs on a daily basis, will your remembrance be more subconsciously in the use of your Mac or iPhone?
