The 18 year old murderer of a San Antonio Yellow Cab driver has been arrested!

 

Derrick Wayne Hunt, Jr was arrested at his apartment, yesterday evening. He surrendered, peacefully. San Antonio Police had been searching for him for several days in the shooting death of 49 year old John Dexter.

 

He wasn't talking to the media without a lawyer being present and he maintains his innocence. I hope that Mr. Dexter's family can find closure and peace now that his murderer has been caught.

 

 

*Footnote: My daughter tells me that he graduated from her high school, last year!

Glad he was caught, this is really sad only 18, makes you wonder. My heart goes out to the family of the victim.

Not to rain on your parade, but was he positively identified by anyone? I hope so, if not he could be deemed innocent by a jury. I have to say that my condolences are also with his mom, I'm willing to bet she is beside herself with grief over what he has done.

His fingerprints were found inside the cab and he was the last passenger this poor man had!

I sure hope so. I just can't get an article out of my head about a petafile that was allowed to go free after which he raped & killed a young girl. I don't trust a legal system that would allow that to happen. Its just that our system doesn't appear to be protecting innocent people.

I'm glad they found him before another person died. Sounds like they have the goods on him. So sad for both families... I can't imagine what the family is going through that lost the man murdered.... and the one who was arrested, what he did was ruin so many lives and his family will suffer too.
