Taking It Easy In The Hospital

Yep, here I sit in the hospital. I came in last night because I couldn't breath. y oxygen level was down to 83. Not good at all. They had me into a room at ER and a doctor was in there  in less than 5 minutes. They gave me 3 nebulizer treatments right away then I was off to x-rays. It looks like I will be here until tomorrow at the earliest.

Hmm.... maybe I can get caught up on some Gathering.M

Yikes! I hope you are OK, and all goes well in fixing that. I don't know what oxygen level is considered normal, but sounds scary enough. Get well quick!

OMG, Sandy.......that's horribly scary! You know, I had just been thinking the other day that I hadn't seen you here on Gather in quite awhile (although I'm not on here much these days, with all my volunteer work and "real life" busyness).........and have been worried about you!
I surely hope they can find out exactly what's wrong and can treat you for it......that must be totally frightening.
Please take care, and know that you're in my thoughts and prayers! I hope you won't have to be in the hospital very long.

Thanks, Nora. My COPD just grabbed me good. Now they are worried cause my blood pressure is going down. It is usually low but the bottom number keeps dropping.

Thanks Susan. It is staying right at 90 and 91 but that still isn't where we want it. I was running 97 and 98 before this happened.

I remember when my daughter dropped down to the 70's. Didn't think she was going to make it but she's fine now. You should be also shortly. My computer is going in the shop, it's code is corrupt, but I will be thinking of you even if you don't hear from me.

Sorry to hear about your computer. They can sure be a pain at times. Mine has been up in the 90's as long as I use oxygen. I have to keep it that high cause of my COPD.

Computer is back and working great. The man who fixed it for me put Office 2007 on it for me which is awesome. Except, of course, my grandson can now do his homework on my computer and no longer has to go to the lab at the college. Now he comes and does his homework here.

I was in the hospital again in January with pneumonia again. Since then I have been doing pretty good. I actually worked in the yard today for about 5 hours and I feel great. Since things ended with the ex boyfriend I am finding myself a lot healthier. How are you doing?

Things are really a lot better. I have only had one day is a little over a month that my health acted up. That is a huge plus.

i am so glad for you. I teach children who have profound mental challenges at a high school. It was a beautiful day in Georgia, not too hot and not to cool. It was a beautiful day. How was yours?

This year I am teaching 4. I have had a high of 18 in past years. I need to do yard work/gardening this week but have 6 more stories to write for my latest book. 2 stories I am not looking forward to writing but they need to be in the book so.............

I battle that too. Sometimes I have to walk away from my writing for a little while. This book is going to be dedicated to the memory of a teacher friend of mine who just died of cancer. I will have five stories out of ten focusing on heroes who have and support those who have cancer.

Thank you, this book will have 9 fewer stories but will be twice as long.
