Have you seen his speech Steve Jobs gave at Stanford Universtiy in 2005. I highly recommend everyone watch it. It is on YouTube and you can search it and it'll show up. Have you seen it?
I saw this for the first time when my principal showed it to all the teachers right before the school year started. I watched it again the day I learned of his death. I'm usually not really touched by celebrity deaths, but I'm still really upset over his death.
Things he said in the speech are so true.
"you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards"
-This is so true. You don't know what the future will hold, so you don't know always know what your next step should be. Looking back in life though, things happened for a reason and got you to the place you are now.
"the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle"
-This is also so true. I know today many people are desperate to find work and they are willing to do any type of job, but I know if you don't like what you do, it makes life miserable. As difficult as teaching is, I can truly say I love to teach.
"If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."
-People need to be happy in life because death is something that comes for everyone.
There were many other great quotes from his speech, but those are three of my favorites. He was very talented and will be missed.

I've seen a lot of his quotes in the past day or so. A lot of them are very poignant.
I pre-ordered the new book, "I, Steve," I believe it's the one with his quotes.....was so surprised, as it's only $5.99 (plus, of course, shipping and handling).....I got it through B&N.com, as I had a $10 e-gift certificate I'd gotten from some survey place that I forgot about.........it was still good, so the book only cost me $.52!!!!!!!!! I should get it the first part of November, I believe.....can't wait!
