Not only have the protests been peaceful in Boston, but the protestors, themselves, have been camped out on state property for more than a week. The local news channels have made an issue of this, camping out on state property without a license. But both Governor Deval Patrick and the Mayour of Boston, Tom Mennino, stated publicly that the protestors have a right to "freedom of expression." When asked about the license controversy, the Governor stated he was unsure about the statute, and he would look into it. So far though, the protest have been peaceful, and Bostonians seem welcoming, even joining them in their walks to work. This is something I would have definitely participated in, but we had a medical emergency, and I can't be far from home right now. Some great pics below:
