This morning we did not get up, because we had stayed up all night. It seemed easier, because we had to leave at 4:30 AM to drive to the hospital for my MRI.
Two weeks ago, we were victims of a serious hit and run crash. Our car is still in the body shop, so our wonderful neighbors have loaned us their car until it's ready. We have the world's best neighbors!
When I was examined at the emergency room after the collision, a CT scan showed a couple of possible problems not related to the crash. Although the images were poor, the radiologist speculated that I might have 1.) an aneurysm and/or 2.) a meningioma (brain tumor). Tests need to be done to rule out or verify these findings.
If there is a problem, the crash might be a blessing in disguise. If not for the accident, I would not have gone to ER and been diagnosed. If there is no problem, I will be the happiest member of Gather!
Today I had an MRI and will have another kind of CT scan on Wednesday. When we came home today, I took a short nap, then got up and made a big pot of vegetable soup and a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Being productive really helps chase away the blues.
I thank all of my Gather friends who are praying for me. I hope to have some answers by the end of the week and will post the results. I'm feeling very positive.
