According to GaGa Daily, Lady Gaga has decided to release "Marry The Night" to radio as her next single, and the fifth from her Born This Way album.
For Gaga, "Marry The Night" is a song of hers that has a very different sound from her previous work, and that's the way she approached it. This song, the inspiration of which was Gaga's love of New York City, her hometown, is dance music all the way and was produced by Fernando Garibay.
When working on the song with Garibay, Lady Gaga said, "I kept saying to him, 'I don't want to do anything I've done before. I don't want to sound like anything I've done before.'"
With "Marry The Night," Gaga feels they accomplished that goal. "It's like Whitney, but imagine if Bruce Springsteen had a baby with Whitney Houston — that's what it is," she said. "And that was it! We made a baby. Finally. After all that fornication, miserably long and tedious, Fernando and I finally conceived."
Wow, comparing the execution of a song to conceiving a baby is pretty extreme, but, hey, that's Lady Gaga, right? Extreme.
Of "Marry The Night," Gaga said, "I wrote so many songs on this new album about New York City, but one in particular 'Marry The Night,' that record is about my husband, New York."
Given the fact that Lady Gaga's other singles "Edge of Glory," "Born This Way" and "You and I" have been extremely successful, chances are that "Marry The Night" will be just as popular.
