Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore may be silent as a couple on the divorce scandal brewing for a good reason: they've already split up. That's what Perez Hilton is reporting via the Star magazine article over the scandal which hit earlier on Wednesday.

It would explain a lot. It's been two days since the bombshell report that Kutcher was caught cheating with Sara Leal over the weekend, and so far, Demi Moore hasn't blabbed. If the couple have already agreed to split up, what would be the point of speaking out?

Kutcher himself has been in the news today battling the divorce rumorsÂ—in a way.

He's reportedly considering suing Star magazine for publishing a "fictional" story about the scandal.

Perez Hilton can't resist poking a stick at the trio, saying "So then, was the affair with the coed just the final straw or had their marriage been on the rocks to begin with? If they really are ready to tell the world, then we wish they would just tell us all the details now! We want to get the story straight!"

It's nice to know Hilton is so concerned with the facts. He's not exactly known for his journalistic integrity, often scribbling wacky notes across celebrity pics. Usually something about fashion disasters or funky hairdos. This time it's all about who gets the X-box.

But the point is well made. If there's any truth to these rumors, it would be better to have the story come straight from the horse's mouth. It's time for the world to move on to much more important stories.
