Monday, Kristin Cavallari was dressed like a certain blonde bombshell: The effervescent Marilyn Monroe as she appeared in The Seven Year Itch. This impressive impersonation was presented all in the name of Dancing with the Stars during which time this former member of The Hills tribe joined ballroom pro Mark Ballas for a lively quickstep.
Her patient instructor told the actress she needed to work on her frame as she practiced for the dance done to Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. Ballas says Kristin enjoys "musicality" but she needed to learn how to bring more "performance" to her dance.
And that she did.
Not only was the pairing seemingly perfect, but this attractive performer added a lot of theatricality to this week's Dancing with the Stars role. She and Mark seemed to be having a blast as they covered the DWTS floor boards, with the number ending in a fun-loving cart-wheel courtesy Ballas.
And so what did the judges think?
Bruno Tonioli, ever enthusiastic (and then some), said, "I have been bedazzled by the blonde bombshell." Still, the jubilant judge had some instruction for Kristin Cavallari to consider. He told her, "You have to hold your frame all the way through" which, apparently, didn't happen throughout the number. Still, Tonioli praised Kristin's energy, saying it was "beautiful."
Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba called the Kristin Cavallari quickstep "stunning" and "sophisticated." She commented about how this aspiring dancer overcame those nerves that flared up last week. So, as far as Inaba is concerned, the beautiful young woman who dazzles on the dance floor pulled off a terrific quickstep.
But that wasn't the end of the criticism.
Ever the downer, Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman expressed the idea that Cavallari looked better than she danced. He criticized this DWTS couple for breaking hold, which is breaking the rules when it comes to the ballroom version of the quickstep. Oh well, that's just one judges' opinion.
So what do think? Do you think Kristin Cavallari as Marilyn Monroe deliver an alluring quickstep on Dancing with the Stars for season 13 on episode 2? Thoughts? Thanks.
