Monday on Dancing with the Stars, Elisabetta Canalis looked a model. A model dancer that is. Wearing a brilliant turquoise gown with chiffon panels attached to her hands, the fabric floated as she did while this stunning contender beautifully covered the floor with her partner, Val.
However, rehearsal was another matter. During that time, this gorgeous Italian personality donned a white sleeveless t-shirt and black leggings for one lesson.
So, while her clothing was casual, her attitude had, well, attitude. Canalis wasn't getting along with her Dancing with the Stars pro partner. Feeling like her teacher was treating this adult like a child while learning her dance for the week, she told Val just that.
But the hard work paid off.
The two "Bickersons" looked great and danced by leaps and bounds better than the previous week when these two were second from the bottom on the leaderboard.
No longer.
This week on Dancing with the Stars, Len Goodman confirmed that thought. This serious British judge said, simply, "[Your performance] was not great but it was better than last week."
Bruno Tonioli made up for his colleagues lack of words by spilling out a bunch of pithy sentences directed at Canalis and her Russian partner. He told the two, "You have the ability to come up with some lines that are as good as any Lamborghini." And that was just one of the zingers that flew out of Bruno's mouth when talking about this second stab at ballroom dancing.
Meanwhile, Carrie Ann called the quick step Elisabetta's dance. Inaba was thrilled with this comeback from Canalis, complimenting her with, "You nailed the steps."
That said, judges gave a three 7s to this DWTS couple, a great score for the second week of the competition. And for such a difficult dance as the quick step with less than a week of practice.
