In a game that was supposedly a cakewalk for Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers, it was left to the defense to hold off the determined Kansas City Chiefs to avoid an upset. Such effort wasn't without casualties. San Diego learned that key corner Quentin Jammer pulled his hamstring, adding another big name loss to a defense rapidly running out of reserves. San Diego has to wonder if their playoff hopes are in danger with Rivers playing so inconsistent and a defense unable to stay healthy.
Kerry Collins couldn't finish game for Indianapolis Colts because of concussion
After Brad Painter very nearly became a hero on Sunday night, Indianapolis Colts fans quickly forgot that starting quarterback Kerry Collins had left the game. He got pulled late by team doctors who feared the 16-year veteran showed signs of a concussion. His return for next week remains unclear at this point as he undergoes several tests to confirm the diagnosis. One thing is for sure. After watching Painter, Colts fans probably aren't very eager to have Collins back.
