I TRY not to be as preachy as I was. I don't think I'm as extreme (or passionate) about my causes.

I've learned what is important and so I don't stress out about so much stuff. So the things that bother me, such as local politics (for example) don't make me so loud, or so politically correct. I guess I am much less PC at this point in my life. When I was young, I always wanted to do things the way they were told to do them, I didn't fight with people over things, just did as I was told.

To a certain extent......I am much, much less materialistic than I used to be, and much more spiritual.....my faith in God is the most important thing to me in my life.......I guess since we've "retired," we're much more laid back........don't get involved at all with "political" stuff, as I detest all the nastiness and downright hatefulness......among BOTH parties!

They haven't. My outer shell has changed but the core of who I am remains the same. Oh I'm not as innocent as I once was, but my faith and values remain strong.

I used to be 100% behind the death peanalaty.
Now that an innocent man may have been executed, I can not, in good concense, be for it.

I used to be someone who would play the game lets pretend family is such a great and important value in my life. First I did it for my beloved Grandma and then I had to do it cause my mother stressed me out emotionally all the time.
But now as she is no more I am no more afraid to say and act the truth, my husband comes first, and my biological family not at all as they all have emotionally abused me more or less.
For the first time now in my life I am able to say things like life is beautiful.
