I had to work the PGA Golf Tourney here in Atlanta, so I can actually pay Angela's band fees. Well, I just happened to be assigned the area where Darius Rucker was going to have his concert.
Who is Rucker you ask??? Darius Rucker emerged onto the music scene as the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. Rucker helped formed that band 25 years ago at the University of South Carolina. Hootie and the Blowfish produced hit songs like "Let Her Cry," "Hold My Hand" and "Only Want To Be With You." Rucker emerged onto the music scene as the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. Some of the band was there playing also, and he did play a couple of the Hootie songs. Rucker performed “Together, Anything is Possible” with a chorus from East Lake’s Drew Charter School. It is a song that Rucker wrote and produced as part of a partnership with the PGA TOUR. All proceeds of the song downloads from iTunes are donated to PGA TOUR Charities, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. In turn, 100 percent of the funds will be used to directly support various PGA TOUR charities, including The First Tee, a World Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to impacting the lives of young people through the game of golf. I think it's great that he'd do that.
Of coarse we weren't allowed to bring cell phones or camera in to the country club, though a lot snuck in cell phones. I now wish I had, as I could have had some photos. Being in the concessions, I had an AWESOME, close up view of the concert. After it was over, a few of the moms went up and met him. Sorry, I didn't, as I was so tired that I wanted to get home. I was there from 7 am to after 7 pm.
Now, I won't be around tomorrow or Sunday either. I'll be working at the PGA event, again. I have to earn that money....and it's not THAT bad.

What a LONG, but Wonderful Day! :)
I don't know about this one either, because it varies depending on how much the concession stands make. Wednesday was pretty slow. I guess it will get very busy on Sat and Sun.
I just love to hear him sing! LOVE to hear him sing.
