Thursday Writing Essential

Greetings, Gather writers. It's Thursday. I'm late--and it's raining, too. So that means my day is off to a positively icky start.

So.....make me laugh. I want to roll-on-the-floor laugh, but I'll settle for a giggle. Belly laughs are great but just a plain old "guffaw" works, too.

I like silly humor, raunchy humor (we do have to keep it clean for Gather, however), bathroom humor, and very clever humor. You can tell me about your Great Uncle Hal's worst social faux pas or how you tricked your best friend on April Fool's Day. You can even make something up if you're so inclined. Just please....please...make me laugh!

I have neither picked up nor subscribed to Readers Digest for years, perhaps decades, but I used to enjoy their regular feature, "Laughter is the Best Medicine".

There must be something funny I can think of, well, kind of, the baby now 6 months old on the 30th , was rolling in his play pen, takes up the whole floor :), and he rolled over on to a toy or something, just heard the crying, and he had a little bruise down below the corner of his right eye, on the cheekbone, today he has a full blown shiner, and I keep thinking to myself, I wonder what the other guy looks like, chuckle now Kimberly, love, Elsie
