Genre Shorties Week 80 Prompt:
Kay gave us the choice of either Genre Shortie 1 or Genre Shortie 2 to try again. Like I've done before, I thought it would be fun to mash things up. So I offer you:
A romantic science fiction tale, where the hero travels in time to meet a famous character in history and falls in love. Whilst and at the same time using the following words:
glowing, darkness, orange, fear, pudding
===============================================================
I hate going on field trips, but this one was different. Being able to witness
the paradigms in engineering and architecture is incredible. Time travel is
very safe now, but very regimented. One wrong move outside the skip
and our fears of an Earth plunged into darkness or transformed into
glowing orange pudding could be realized!
Our class traveled back to the Victorian age and Joesph Paxton's Crystal
Palace. It was light, aerie and gorgeous, just like her. It’s been a long day,
but I can’t sleep. How can I? When I am willing to risk this world for her.
