 
  
  SEIZE THE DAY by Saul Bellow had to read this for my english class but have to say a good book. The character Tommy lives with his father at a hotel since he is split from his wife and children who happens to want nothing from him but just money and what even give him a divorce. Dr. Alder is retired but very harsh towards his children but even more so with Tommy since he is not in the field that his dad wanted him to be in. Dr. Tamkin is a friend a mentor in a way that either helps Tommy or hurts him in the end.
Looking at it in a way Dr. Tamkin helps Tommy find his way since he is in a spirl towards the bottom, in the end Tommy does finally see the light.
