'Teen Mom' Farrah Abraham Does Fashion Week?

Teen Mom Farrah Abraham gave up custody of daughter Sophia to her mom in Iowa so she could go to college in Florida. Now she's been spotted enjoying fashion week in New York City--without her little girl, of course.

According to Hollywood Life, the Teen Mom is pursuing a career in Culinary Management, and for some reason felt she needed to get that education in Fort Lauderdale rather than nearer to her child in Iowa. Therefore she turned custody of little Sophia over to her mom, so she could pursue her dream.

So what does Fashion Week in New York City have to do with pursuing a dream in Culinary Management? That has some people a little bit confused. Unfortunately for others, the truth is becoming painfully clear. Here's what Farrah Abraham tweeted to her followers upon arriving in New York.

"In Nyc.

ex[c]ited for NYC fashion week. & *-+ 9/11+-* R.I.P . The U.S stands strong. Xo" Farrah tweeted on September 10th. On September 14th she added, "Fashion week & Finals Week.......Fun can wait for it to be done."

Okay, so why? If this Teen Mom had that kind of break from school, didn't she immediately hop a flight to Iowa to spend time with her daughter? Shouldn't that where Farrah Abraham's first priority should lie?

Farrah tried defending her choice about leaving Sophia with her mom during a recent interview, but it doesn't really seem believable. See what you think.

"Honestly, I wanted Sophia to move with me from the very beginning," Farrah recently said while being interviewed. "When my mom came up with the idea of Sophia staying with her, it created drama as if I'd be doing the right thing by taking her or leaving her with my mom. People can judge either way."

Does it sound to you like Teen Mom Farrah Abraham is simply shirking her responsibilities as a mother? Does she really have an excuse for running off to Fashion Week in New York City instead of going to visit her little girl?

Yes, it does sound like she's taking this opportunity of sorts to "pursue her dream," but it almost appears like her dream is to not be a mother any more.

Kim you are a idiot. First you judgement on something you don't have real facts on. First she took time off during the weekend to go to NY, and yes she had her finals covered by preparing far in advance for her trip. As for her not seeing Sophia maybe you need to and two and two together and find out where Sophia real lives now and then maybe your judgement trap might think you open it of type a word about something your really don't know the honest truth...Michael ya do you get it!

First things first... you're actually an idiot. Your spelling and grammar are atrocious and it's painful to read you trying to insult someone without proper English skills. A little tip? No one 'judgements' anything. And 'to and two and two together'? Excruciating to read. Moving on... As someone who lives in the city where Farrah's parents reside WITH SOPHIA, I happen to know they do in fact have custody of Sophia, which I dearly hope lasts forever. Farrah is a selfish and idiotic and is not at a point in her life to 'care' for a child... though it seems she only cares when the cameras are on her, from what we've seen around here. Finally, I'll end with my most important point: Again, you're an idiot.

Alice yes my spelling is bad but you did not get the message. The writer does not have the facts. I do. Ok did you see my name. If you live in Council Bluffs maybe a few clues might help you figure out who I am. The house we live in is on the corner of willow&bluff street, I drove a red BWM which was on the show many times. I always was seen cutting the grass at both the houses. Sophia loves me as I love her as was demonstrated on the shows many many times. I know facts because it's my life. Kim is talking trash about someone in my family that does not know the real facts. I do.

Kim, I admit my guilty pleasure is Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant and your articles are the only ones I really enjoy reading as much as I enjoy watching the show! You are by far one of the most talented writers here and your articles are short, interesting, and always intelligently written. I have yet to disagree with you on anything! Please keep your work going!
