The upcoming season of House is going to begin with the titular doctor behind bars because of his actions in the season finale—driving his car into Cuddy's house—but he'll be free soon enough to get back to diagnosing in the hospital.
House season 8 casts Prison Break actor
According to TVLine, Wentworth Miller, best known for his role on Prison Break, will be guest starring on the Fox medical drama in a late October episode as a patient that House will have to diagnose. Creator David Shore has given some details about the character: "He plays a real altruist. And there's some question as to whether that's his symptom or not." It seems more likely than not that House will be the one raising the question of if it's a symptom because it doesn't look like him being in prison is going to change what he thinks about the world.
House season 8 is introducing new characters to the show, as Olivia Wilde is only appearing in a very limited number of episodes and two new female doctors will be joining the diagnostics team. Will Thirteen still be around for Wentworth Miller's episode? She's probably leaving in the October 17th episode, and with Miller's slated for "late October," it seems like this will take place after Olivia Wilde's farewell.
Are you looking forward to seeing Wentworth Miller in House season 8?
House and Hugh Laurie have both been nominated for a Primetime Emmy. The Emmys air September 18th on FOX.
