The landscaping was laid out at my house when we purchased it. I believe the former home owners paid a landscaper to design the yard. In the front, we have yellow flowers. On the side, we have orange flowers. In the back, we have a trellis that has a beautiful vine/bush type plant. It's all very nice. I have no idea what any of them are though.
This is my front yard:
These flowers seem sensitive to the sun, which surprises me that they are in direct sunlight for most of the day. The greenery gets dry very easily and I have never had a summer where the flowers last well. I always end up trimming them back so that my yard doesn't look brown.
This is on top of my trellis:
It is beautiful, and I want to keep it. It seems to bloom best in August or September. I feel like it needs trimmed. I have lived at my house for five years and never have messed with it.
I have since planted lilies and hosta plants - some of my favorites - as well as the vegetables. I am very interested in learning more about my preplanted yard and how to care for the flowers better. Can anyone identify these flowers for me?
