As most people know, Rihanna was brutally beaten in 2009 by her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown. It's been a few years since the two of them split and the Barbadian star has flourished into a beautiful, independent woman; but now she is being pressured to forgive her former boyfriend for beating her.
Sources reveal that family members want Rihanna to forgive Chris Brown for the gruesome and violent attack he delivered in 2009. Apparently some people don't take domestic violence seriously, even though it could've ended far worse than a battered face for the singer. The National Enquirer spoke to a cousin of the Barbadian singer by the name of Nicola Alleyne. Nicola says that she likes Chris Brown and she feels that he and Rihanna should get back together.
"Chris made a mistake, but I forgive him. I think he got hit too. Knowing Rihanna like I do, it was a fight. But I would love them to be back together. I really think Chris still loves her," said Nicola.
Well if that isn't just the most idiotic thing a person could say. It seems that someone has celeb-envy and thinks that Chris Brown is a "nice guy," even though he battered this woman's own flesh and blood to the point of not even looking like herself. Maybe Nicola Alleyne should mind her own business and find her own woman-beating pig to follow around with battered wife syndrome. Rihanna is doing great on her own and she would be best to stay away from this man.
It's saddening that the relative of the singing superstar thinks she has the right to "forgive" Chris Brown for what he did to her cousin. It's not her place to forgive him and it certainly isn't her place to give relationship advice if she thinks a woman putting up a fight is grounds to be beaten like a street thug. Let Nicola Alleyne slum around in whatever ghetto life she wants as a beaten and disrespected hood-rat. That is not Rihanna's style and it very well shouldn't be. She proved that when she kicked Chris to the curb and moved on with her life. She's evolved and hopefully a more discerning taste in men comes with her ever-evolving character.
