The bullying continues at my daughter's school. She called me yesterday as another girl went after her to retaliate for her friend. The principal came right out, and handled it, but I am considering pulling her out of school.
It is so frustrating. She wants to stay at school, but I am scared for her. Even the principal has suggested pulling her out and have her schooled as a homebound student possibly, but she has a right to go to school without fear of being bullied. This one may pass without further incident. I am hoping so, but I do think the law should be stricter.

When my son, who had epilepsy was in high school he took a summer class. His bus stop was blocks away from his normal one, close to our home. I had to get his Neurologist to fill out forms for a closer stop. Their response... he would be picked up at that stop but would have to wait an hour or two for class to begin. I told them that if he was blind or in a wheelchair they wouldn't do that to him... why would they decide he should wait alone in a hallway for that long? I advised them I would give them an opportunity to re think it before I called my lawyer as my son was disabled. You know it didn't take long for them to "re think it".... and they were able to fix the problem and get him there on a better time table.
Sometimes people have no compassion or just can't be bothered... and sometimes you have to whip out things like the Americans with DIsabilities Act or go to a higher authority.
The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Many times as long as you "buy" their story that they can't do anything... they get rid of the "problem" by not doing anything.
Trying to get you to pull your daughter out, in my opinion... is like blaming her for the problem instead of the bullies.
I'd be furious and I'd tell them that I will do what ever I can do to get this school to help my daughter... even if it means going to the local papers. A paper might just send a reporter to do a story on your daughter and what she is going through... do you think they will want that? I don't.
Good Luck though.... sometimes this people are so busy supervising teachers they forget their job is to protect the students too!
