Former American Idol Judge Kara DioGuardi has gone from judging performances to performing herself! The famous songwriter has gone from penning musical numbers to performing them on Broadway!
DioGuardo debuted on Broadway Tuesday night as Roxie Hart in Chicago, reports Perez Hilton. How did she do? No published reviews are yet available. Ashlee Simpson previously played the role and despite not being raved for her pop music career, she did receive glowing reviews for her role as Roxie Hart.
Simpson's reviews could be a precursor for DioGuardi's. Kara spent one year as a judge on American Idol, though was not well received by the audience. She has attempted to regain the spotlight, even releasing an autobiography where she revealed that she had some very traumatic childhood experiences.
Although she has not gained much attention for her past endeavors, perhaps she will do so for her Broadway role.
