....This week the prompt is going to cover HEAT! There is hot, and there is HOT! Write a tale, prose or poem about something HOT… one rule.. NO DRAGONS! Sorry, had enough of them lately… Oh, if you don’t want to write on heat, Tell me about your worst sunburn! Please post a response by July the 27th, and please put GWWE in the title and tag with “Hot Topic”

 

......Beads of perspiration popping upon forehead

Tar peeling from parking lot

....Nail bitingly,

Toe hopping on concrete,

..Foreign sensation,

Jalapeño red

 

Blistering to the touch tea pots,

Winter coats in summer,

Frying eggs on sidewalk,

Back breaking, knuckle cracking,

Earth shattering,

Heat!

 

So, I turn on the air conditioning

(Sigh), it’s over.

For the moment.

This reminded me of how hot it's been in Toronto of late. We had to turn on the AC today... yeuch. I remember camping in 1981 at the beginning of September... we actually had frost on our tent.
