There is an elephant in my carnival novel!

I just thought you all needed to hear that, lol ...

Before you think "so what" or "of course" .. an elephant in a small traveling carnival is a very big deal, and is some considerable work to care for, and is a big item to get around from town to town!

ha ha

And this elephant is also a hero (elephants aren't afraid of ghosts)!!!

I know better. One time a small circus was setting up its tents and I was where I wasn't supposed to be. I tried to get out of there and an elephant who had been helping wit the tent poles cut me off. I went the other way and he cut me off again. Back and forth, I finally got out of there. Who knows? Maybe he chucked the rest of the day to himself (or herself--I didn't bother to check).
