Ed O'Neill, the famed actor most recently known for his role on TV's "Modern Family," has finally earned his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is certainly due time for this television icon to receive such high recognition from the acting community.
As the Hollywood Walk of Fame laid down its 2,446th star in O'Neill's honor, two of his most prominent TV wives, Katey Sagal and Sofia Vergara, gathered to share their fond memories and admiration for the actor, according to MSNBC.
Katey Sagal, who played O'Neill's wife on "Married...With Children," offered a hilarious and meaningful sentiment for the actor's success. "I want to tell Eddie, he's one lucky mo-fo... Here he's got these two beautiful women [Sagal and Vergara] that he's had in his life, hopefully this one as long as he's had me. And I'm sure he will."
Vergara offered equally effective words for Ed O'Neill's induction to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "When I was in Colombia and I was a young, very beautiful girl, I would watch 'Married... With Children,' with Ed with his hand in his pants, talking with this very sexy Antonio Banderas accent—because in Colombia it was dubbed into Spanish... But to marry Al Bundy [O'Neill] has been one of the most joyful things in my whole life."
Ed O'Neill played the famed role of Al Bundy on "Married...With Children" from 1987-1997 and currently plays the hilarious and dry-witted Jay Pritchett on NBC's "Modern Family."
With this prestigious honor, the Hollywood community looks forward to years of more impressive work from the very deserving O'Neill.
