NCIS: Los Angeles season 3 premiere promo
The new promo (below) shows that Hetty is the character who will be shot in the upcoming first episode of the third season. The rest of the team needs to find a way to safely get to her. Callen tells someone over the phone, "They've been tracking us since we landed in Prague," and it looks like he was talking to Vance, who wonders if he has a plan. Callen does, and it's a simple one: "Save Hetty." Will they be too late or will they get there in time?
It's quite a good promo, and it looks like the episode, which will "be told in real-time" starting right where the season 2 finale left off, will be an exciting one. Just what will be revealed about Callen's history in this episode?
NCIS: LA season 3 premiere spoilers
Executive producer Shane Brennan talked to Entertainment Weekly about shooting Hetty: "Linda is always up for anything, and it seemed right. It seemed like the right way for us to get into revealing a big piece of Callen's backstory and, in the process, her backstory. We find out as much about Callen as we do about Hetty in this first episode. It was really, I guess, a way of us exploring the hidden relationship between Callen and Hetty." It does seem like the best way for a show to look at the origins of a character is to put them in grave danger before explaining some things, and it appears that's just what's going to happen in this episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. The season 2 finale certainly had its cliffhangers about Hetty and Callen, and it looks like the beginning of season 3 will finally give fans some answers about the ever-mysterious G. Callen.
