Demi Lovato announced just days ago her first concert dates since her stint in rehab. Tickets for both shows--one in New York and one in L.A. went on sale Saturday morning, and both sold out within minutes.
According to a report from PerezHilton.com, this nothing if not proof positive that Demi's fans never stopped supporting her, and are more than ready for the 19-year-old's comeback.
The two concerts are scheduled for September, and it's clear that fans can't wait to see Demi Lovato performing in person. Her show in New York--scheduled for September 17th at the Hammerstein Ballroom sold out in just 15 minutes. Her L.A. show, scheduled for September 23rd at Club Nokia sold out in only 30 minutes. You go, girl!
Demi Lovato was touring as an opening act for the Jonas Brothers late last year when Demi started showing strong signs of aggression. She was even accused of assaulting one of her dancers on the tour. It seems that stress and emotional issues were taking their toll on the singer--in addition to problems of dabbling in both drugs and alcohol. It seems that Demi's parents intervened and that proved to be her saving grace. They put her in a serious rehab program where she worked on issues like bipolar disorder, eating disorders and self-mutilation by cutting.
Demi Lovato was released from her rehab program earlier in 2011, and so far seems to be doing fairly well. Her single, Skyscraper, became an instant success, and she most recently performed it live on America's Got Talent. Now fans are eager to see Demi up close in personal doing her very own shows.
Congratulations are most definitely in order for Demi Lovato, on both her concert dates for September selling out within minutes. The fans who scored those tickets undoubtedly consider themselves among the extremely lucky ones, and the remainder are likely hoping that a show or two gets added to her roster.
