Paul Rudd is not exactly on point with his fashion while performing his title role in My Idiot Brother. In fact, the actor's co-stars say his style commits major sartorial faux pas.
According to one source, Elizabeth Banks made an astute observation about her fellow thespian as Paul Rudd appears in the fresh flick, saying to ET, "He's sort of like Farmer John meets hippie meets Crocs."
What a visual. To add to that are items of clothing this character's costumes dictate, including baggy tanks and tribal shorts, clothing co-star Rashida Jones calls, "Just wrong, straight wrong." Mix in the fact that the "idiot brother" has a penchant for Crocs and you get a good, er, sad picture.
With that being said, while donning what you are given to bring out a character's style sense is something most actors don't have a say in regarding what is chosen and what is not (since that's the costume department's job), Paul Rudd possibly did some campaigning about what he put on his back during production. After all, this comedian knows how to bring out the yucks, not only with what he does but with what he wears, too.
Have you seen Paul Rudd in his new movie? Do you agree that he is a walking fashion faux pas? Did you go to see My Idiot Brother yet? If not, please come back and share your thoughts on this really cute actor in some really ugly clothing.
