HOME FROM SCHOOL, ALREADY????

Only into the first week of school and I've got to keep my daughter home!!! She's been complaining of a sore throat and not feeling well. Last night, I gave her some Theraflu, but, this morning, she woke up with a fever.

 

The doctor's office opens in about an hour, so, I'm going to try and get her an appointment. I'm sure with some medication and some chicken noodle soup, she'll be feeling better soon.

Janie, Yes! Being right into the New School year, I can see not missing School, but in this case I can Clearly see why!
I sure Hope some rest and chicken-noodle-soup will do it.

Yes, it seems that her mom's TLC, worked! Took her to the doctor, too! She's got a cold complicated by her allergies.

Four years ago my daughter got mono.... and missed a lot of first marking period. It was a real struggle because the teacher, despite my calls to guidance and my husband going over to pick up work/talk to guidance and the doctors note... got incomplete for that marking period. Beware schools don't get paid you children don't go and the teachers know it. We got through it...

But those germs surely go around. I hope she feels better soon.

She's feeling better which is why I'm replying to my post, otherwise, I'd be nursing her, right now. The doctor tested her for the flu and strep, which came back negative.

She has a cold complicated by allergies.

Sorry to hear she was ill at the beginning of the school year but glad to hear it wasn't anything like strep or the flu!......Hope she is on the road to feeling better!

That stinks that she had to miss the first days. I remember missing the first few days of my 3rd college semester. It drove me nuts.
