I have been trying to lose weight since March ever since I found out that my pre-diabetes was not officially diabetes. My doctor told me at the time if I lost 33 pounds I could probably get off of the meds. As of this morning I have lost 25.5 pounds. So I only have 8 more to go.
When I lose that 8 I will be at my ideal weight for my height and age. Right now I am just 2 pounds away from what I was when I got pregnant with my first child over 15 years ago so it has been about 15 years since I have been this thin.
My pants are literally falling off of me. Of course with my husband being out of work I can't go and get any new clothes, so I just have to walk around pulling my pants up all the time. I guess I need a belt. Actually I love walking around with lose pants it reminds me of how much weight I have lost and how far I have come since March.
My 46th birthday is next month and it is cool to know that at 46 that I am in much better shape than I was at 36.
I also work out nearly every day. I do some pretty intense workouts my favorites are Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, Zumba, and workout DVD's by Billy Blanks Jr.
My arms are not longer fat looking and I am even starting to see some muscle tone in them. My calves are also starting to show some muscle as well. I was a dancer in my up until my early 20's and I used to have really muscular legs. I miss that, but I can see those muscles coming back as the fat disappears.
Sorry I don't mean to be bragging I am just so happy to have lost all of this weight and I feel so much better. If I can do it anyone can.
