YIPPIE~ The kiddos went back to school today!

I dont know about you guys but I was so ready for school to start!

This has been one hard summer. It got up to 115 a few days this summer. The kids really took the vacation part to heart. They slept till noon and stayed up all night eating and watching TV!

My kids are growing up so fast and I luv them and all but I am ready for my peace and quiet! The alarms started gong off at 530am. I threw the last child out the door at 715am!!! PARTY TIME..haha 

This year my kids are in the 11th grade, 9th grade and 7th grade.

The young lady we have living with us is will graduate in June. She set up day care for her baby so I dont have to watch her all day.(Thank Goodness)

I have been waiting weeks to have some quiet in the house.

Geee, what is the first thing I should do??..

I am torn between cleaning naked or going back to sleep...lol

maybe I should just sit here and GATHER!!!..haha

I can't believe how early school starts. In Canada it's not allowed to start till the day after labour day.

Yes, I know how you feel!!! My daughter was out the door at 8:15. This is her last year in high school.

LOL woooh rayyyyyyy, my youngest starts his sophomore classes at college today as well, we moved him into his dorm on Friday, it's quiet here when older son goes to work but I do miss my younger son already. Have a most wonderful quiet day.

I would Gather. My kids go back on Thursday, well the two older ones do, the little one starts next Monday.

My son starts kindergarten on Wednesday. He's really excited, but I'm not. I'm not sure what I'll do, besides cry. haha.

aww, I remember those days with my kids, I cried too, my kids were ready to get rid of me..lol none of them cried..They just said "bye mom see ya later"
by the time they get to jr high and high school you will be counting down the days when they go back to school...lol

Kids here went back today also. I imagine a lot of mothers are just zoning out and enjoying the quiet. But then those mothers who have sent their kids off to school for the first time and a little teary eyed, but there aren't too many of them any more since most mothers have to work and they are just taking them to school instead of day care.
My next to the youngest grand child starts first grade this year. They go back the first Tuesday after Labor Day.

I hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet today. I had to go back to work today, but the kids don't come until Wednesday. I'll be teaching a 1/2 combo this year. So, back to school isn't a time for me to relax, but time for me to go back to work and get busy, busy, busy.

Thank you very much. I've been teaching for 15 years now. Although it's very hard at times, it's very rewarding. Plus I love the fact that I get to spend the summer with my daughter and make a difference in the lives of little ones.

The twins are the same way right now, we don't start till after the holiday. I keep telling them I am going to wake them up early, rouse them from any naps they might try and take in the hopes that they start going to bed early again, but nope. By the time the morning rolls around I am thankful for the quiet because as soon as they get up it all noise.

Two of my grandsons went to school last Friday. We don't start in Michigan until after the holiday weekend so I was able to come down here for their first few days. I leave tomorrow :-( to go home. I am sure going to miss them. I wish I didn't have to go back to work, I'd stay right here...

I hear you...my twins began school, 1st grade, last week...twin b fractured her rigt wrist playing on the monkey bars and today a doctor but her cast on. It is very nice having the home all to myself..at least until 2:30...

the quiet time is so nice to have. My first kiddo comes in at 255pm. In a few weeks i might miss them, but i need some thinking time..lol

My gds started back to school today too. One of them is in 4th grade and the other one is her first year in school. She stared Pre-K. The one that goes to Pre-K only goes 3 hours and she is in AM class so I have to pick her up at 11:00. I watch her while her mom works. The other one I take her to school but her mom gets off early enough that she pick her up in the afternoon.

Lucky you! My son is 15 and will be going back to school in 2-1/2 weeks. This week he is at karate camp so I have a quiet house this week. At the end of the week, we are going to the camp for a promotion ceremony and he will get his black belt (hopefully). When he returns we have more shopping to do to get him ready for the big year. He will have 2 honors classes, drivers ed and one college prep class. Wow. Hard work this year. He will be in 10th grade. I am trying to really enjoy the last few days before he goes. When school starts we will be up at 6 am, he'll be out the door at 6:50 and he'll be home around 4 pm.

Party baby! You deserve it.
