International soccer star David Beckham is a devoted and dedicated father who holds his newborn daughter while his wife breastfeeds her. Victoria "Posh" Beckham is currently suffering from a back injury which makes holding their infant daughter during breastfeeding painful. To alleviate the pain, the proud father " . . . has to basically prop-up the baby," according to a recent report.
The handsome athlete and his Spice Girl wife became parents for the fourth time with the birth of their daughter Harper Seven. Unfortunately, Victoria Beckham suffered with back pain throughout her pregnancy. In addition, X-rays show a slipped disc in her lower back. That's the reason David Beckham has to hold their newborn during breastfeeding.
It may sound unorthodox to have the father hold the baby during breastfeeding, but it also sounds like the perfect way for both parents to bond with the child during those times.
Prior to this new development, David Beckham had already spoken openly about feeding baby Harper Seven with bottled breast milk. Holding the baby while Victoria Beckham feeds her is the perfect solution to the problem of the new mother's back pain so that the couple doesn't have to rely strictly on bottle feeding.
David Beckham deserves kudos for being such a considerate husband and involved father.
