Too bad Gather saw fit to offer this oppurtunity to only a select chosen few people.

Sassy, I'm not sure how many people were contacted to participate as I haven't found all of them yet, but I think it might have had to do with the type articles these Gather members had posted in the past? I can't swear to it, but I believe that might be one of the criteria in the selection. At least, I know I have posted lots of gardening posts in Gather before this project started, so I think that is why I was selected.

Yes....this was a Triscuit project working through Gather....not a Gather project. They are trying hard to have their image associated with the home farming movement.

Sorry, but, no, I don't think so. Most of the writers are the paid writers from Skyword, people who published posts in the entertainment and news fields. I looked at the Gather Home & Garden Essential group.

I have published lots of garden and cooking posts on Gather, but they would never ask me. I have a reputation for being very outspoken on Gather.

Don't you remember the "homefarming" project on Gather last summer. They had a garden photo essay contest and a garden party contest. With some nice prizes for regular Gather members. Now we are locked out. Don't blame Triscuit.

Also, they sent quite a few regular Gather members boxes of Triscuit to write reviews about. This year, we got nothin'. They occasionally throw us a DVD giveaway of a movie that no one has ever heard of. That is it.

Sassy, I have no idea why they chose me to be one of the writers. All I know is I received an invitation to participate in this project and they spelled out what my obligations as a writer were and what I would be paid for article. Frankly, I don't do it for the money. If you read my articles you might notice that I do either a lot of research or I write from my own observations and practices. The money paid per article could not begin to pay for the time I put into these things. I do it because I like to. It feels good to get paid, but the pay is not all that much.

........furthermore, I refuse to apologize for having been chosen to be one of the writers and if I had not been chosen, I would not be upset that someone else got to do it.

I wasn't looking for any type of apology. They chose you because you are one of the best cooks and gardeners on Gather. When I said "most", I was not including you, but referring to the writers whose usual posts cover entertainment, news, etc. in the channel groups.

dont remember much about gather last summer that is when my daughter was in the hospital with her high risk pregnancy. and i was sleeping there for weeks
