Paula Deen has fired back at Anthony Bourdain. He told TV Guide that her cooking is "dangerous," that her recipes stink, and that she shouldn't even try anymore. Sweet Paula may be a good southern lady in the kitchen, but don't expect her not to fight back when insulted.
Anthony Bourdain, a fellow TV chef, had the nerve to call her the "most dangerous person in America." Really Bourdain, you'd put her above terrorists?
The NY Post says Paula Deen released a statement back, saying Bourdain "needs to get a life." So true. He should worry about his cr**py food and quit trying to drag down other people whose food actually tasted good.
Paula is quoted as saying:
You don't have to like my food, or Rachael's, Sandra's and Guy's. But it's another thing to attack our character. I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It's not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country. In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks.
Did you read that? Paula has fed 10 million people in need. What has Bourdain done?
My good friends Rachael, Guy and Sandra are the most generous charitable folks I know. They give so much of their time and money to help the food-deprived, sick children and abandoned animals. I have no idea what Anthony has done to contribute besides being irritable. You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine. My friends and I cook for regular families who worry about feeding their kids and paying the bills ... It wasn't that long ago that I was struggling to feed my family, too.
Paula Deen's food is delicious. If you don't like the butter, replace it with something else. She seems like a sweet woman, she's fun to watch, and is down-to-earth. So far, every one of her recipes made in this house has turned out excellent, with kiddos licking their plate and asking for more.
Bourdain didn't stop at Paula, he went off about Rachel Ray, too, "Does she even cook anymore? ... To her credit, she never said she was good at it." There was a long list of other famous chef's he said nasty things about. After reading all of his hurtful malicious comments, do you feel safe eating anything this guy cooks?
Read what started the fight, "Paula Deen Called 'Dangerous' by Anthony Bourdain in TV Guide," from yesterday. Keep your head up high, Paula. Every person that reads his stupid comments is one more person who will try your recipes to see what he is talking about. This author loves her butter, and she loves Paula Deen!
