Anne Hathaway has been whipping her already slim physique into even stronger, catsuit-wearing shape for her role in the upcoming movie, The Dark Knight Rises. But the actress admitted on Wednesday's Chelsea Lately show that playing Catwoman is no kitten of a task.
Chelsea Handler gushed, "Someone's been training for Batman!" as Hathaway pranced on stage in a very un-Catwoman-like ensemble: an off-white, long-sleeve sweater dress. Still it was fitted and figure-conscious enough for Handler to call the actress' body "banging," as it should be, given her hardcore exercise regime that initially had the star putting up a lot of resistance.
Apparently, Bikram yoga and push-ups next to a pregnant Jessica Alba (random!) have both been included in Anne Hathaway's workout program. But it's her diet that seems little better than cat food, as Hathaway laughed that she's been "living on kale and dust" to fit into the "unforgiving" catsuit, which she squeezes into with the help of three people.
Too bad Anne Hathaway didn't bust out another rap Diddy like her musical slam on the paparazzi during Conan O'Brien show on Tuesday night. She certainly has some workout and diet aggression she could get out!
Since her inner rap star didn't again surface, Anne Hathaway could certainly vent to fellow stars instead. After all, she's not the first actress who has hit the gym for a movie role transformation; Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Olivia Wilde, Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson, among many others, have all toned up for recent flicks. But, perhaps the best bet would be a prior Catwoman herself, Halle Berry, who ramped up her workout and diet plan and even learned the Brazilian martial art form, capoeira, for her feline role in 2004.
Anne Hathaway and Halle Berry are such different actresses, though, who will bear the best claws in the end?
