MaryLu Tyndall does not disappoint the reader with, Surrender the Dawn. It  is the third and final book in the Surrender to Destiny series. I just loved the historical setting, the adventure and the characters in this novel. I was drawn into the story from the first page. The female main character is strong willed and knows what she wants until she finds herself in love with a drunk. The male main character finds that he has strength beyond his imagination when it comes down to the test. He is excellent with a sword and gives the reader the feeling that he is worth saving from himself. I love the way one adventure leads to another. There is not one dull page in this novel.  Even though this is the third in the Surrender to Destiny series, it stands on its own. The reader does not need to read the first two books in the series to know what is going on. Although once the reader is finished Surrender the Dawn, they will hunger for the other two books in the series. I was first introduced to this author by a friend on Gather. As history buff, I was drawn to this author by the fact that her books are historical fiction. As a Christian, I drawn to this authors because her books have a bit of romance written from a Christian viewpoint. I stayed a loyal reader of this author because I loved her style of writing as well as the intriguing stories she told. Although this book may be considered a romance book as well as historical fiction, it is not your normal harlequin kind of romance. It is real life kind of romance. It is romance with ups and downs and confusion. Real life kinda romance. The kind that is slow coming and slower for the two involved to realize they love each other.  I rate this book a 5 Star and recommend it to anyone who loves a good historical fiction romance book without all the sex that is in many romance books.  Surrender The Dawn Book Trailer  |

MaryLu is one of my favorite authors. I just love her writing style and storyline. I don't like s*x in my books and this one is just perfect for me. I have read all of her books and cannot wait for the next one to come out. :)
You are so very welcome.
It is always fun to do a review of a book that I enjoyed.
It is hard for me to do a book review on one that I dd not like however.
And, I have to say something...
I do happen to write historical romances as well. That are mostly all very realistic. With realistic ups and downs, not just hero/heroine meet, fall in love, and that's it.
They have to struggle with lots of things that get in the way.
Mainly their own egos
That is my kind of book. I am a big histry buff and historical fiction is my favorite genre.
It is not an insult toward you. It is just a personal preference that I decided a long time ago to stay away from. :)
I just love to tease you
I do hope things go better for you and your family really soon.
I hate to see this series end. I loved all three books in this series. I am looking forward to your next book.
I did not even consider this a romance novel but it is under the genre of Christian Historical Romance.
I hate Harlequin and Silhouette romance books. Too steamy for my taste.
