Of course, President Obama needs a sweet ride. After all, he is the President of the United States. No one should begrudge him the luxury that Obama's tour bus offers, nor the safety features needed for the leader of the free world.
The bus beast is equipped with state of the art technology and security features, and one can only imagine the comfort perks, but...hey Mabel, did anyone read the label? Obama's tour bus was built in Canada. Say what?
The New York Post has learned that the $1.1 million VIP H3-45 bus was one of two such vehicles sold to the government by Quebec-based Prevost. Christine Garant said of the model, "That's the more luxurious model... When we have the Country Music Awards, we sometimes see a lot of them."
That's nice, but the fact that the bus was built in Canada was bound to come out. This is an amateur mistake. With all the attention the tour is getting, someone in-the-know should have taken this little tidbit into consideration, so that Obama wouldn't be chastised for taking his business out of the country. Come on people, this is embarrassing. Sheesh.
Obama's tour bus, built in Canada, seems to be a slap in the face to Americans standing around doing nothing but waiting for a job; and while his supporters will fluff the goof off, many will be angered by the gaffe. This doesn't seem like a good way to kick off a campaign, now does it?
Fox News reports that Obama's tour bus carries everything a president could ever need, including the famous "football." Let's hope that those behind the bus goof aren't involved in the security procedures and checks concerning "football," like making sure it works...
