Hard At Work

On some photos that is!

My family went and took a trip today, to the Toledo Zoo. We have always heard that it was way better than our (barely) closer Detroit zoo and wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. Plus i was just giddy to get out and take some photos! i have been really slacking in that department this summer.

We went at got breakfast at our favorite little hole in the wall, D's Cafe. and then off we went. it was about an hour and 15 minute ride there. but i drive that far to work more often than not...so no biggie.

The zoo was pretty fun. But not all that we had heard about. a lot of the place was closed for "the season" or for renovations. But we bought this pass that will get us into other zoos for free or half price. so hopefully i will get some use of that sometime before baby comes.

Anyway, the work part. i will be weeding through the nearly 1000 photos i took today and editing the winners in Photoshop for the foreseeable future. so, expect to see some photos up pretty soon...well...maybe soon. but eventually!

off i go! the sooner i start, the sooner i am done!

I have not been there in years. I used to live in Ohio. We used to go to the Columbus zoo, about once a year. I was only at the Toledo zoo once, I was really young though and don't remember most of it. It has probably changed anyways since I was there.

I can't wait to see all the photos. I love a good zoo. Sorry that most of it was closed up so you couldn't see it. That stinks. I hate when they do renovations or they move the animals around.

We use to go to the Toldedo Zoo all the time when my kids were little, as it was closer than the Detroit Zoo. The baby gorilla and my little daughter would have a good time staring at each other and putting their hands back to back on the glass.

I've always heard that the Toledo Zoo was pretty good too. But, never been there. Aren't they famous for their hippo exhibit or something like that?
