This is a little twist on Beef stroganoff instead of serving mixed with noodles you serve the beef mixture inside of a bun instead. Of course if you want to serve it over noodles you are more than welcome to use this recipe for that as well.
Ground Beef Straganoff Sandwich
1 1/2 pound ground beef
3 slices of bacon, diced (not cooked ahead of time)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon paparika
Pepper to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup of sour cream
Hamburger Buns
Butter or margarine
Place the ground beef and bacon in to a large frying pan. Cook and stir until almost cooked through then add in the onion and continue to cook. When it is done cooking drain off the excess fat. Add the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika to the pan and stir to blend with the meat.
Add the can of soup and stir. Allow the mixture to cook together on a medium flame stirring often to avoid burning for about 20 minutes. Add sour cream and allow it to cook for another couple of minutes as you are stirring to blend.
Right before you add the sour cream take your hamburger buns and spread butter or margarine on them. Place them in the broiler for a couple of minutes until toasted (preferably as you are stirring in the sour cream).
Place the mixture on the hamburger buns and enjoy.
This will make from 8 to 10 sandwiches depending on how much mixture you put on to each.
