No Flash Photography, Please!

It's the first day of school, and as a good mother I wanted photographic evidence. I was only able to capture one of those elusive beasts known as students.

My first attempt:

Run, Mom has the camera!

Second attempt:

Alright, I guess I'll give you a smile. Meanwhile the other girl is down the hallway with her shirt over her head. "Please, no flash photography."

The third attempt:

The elusive student finally looks happy for her first day of school. She even tried to take a picture of the missing beast with the disposable camera (no flash) but the camera was full. Perhaps Mom will be able to sneak in a photo when the other beast arrives home in the afternoon. ;)

I always take a picture of my daughter on the first day of school as well.

Girls are funny where a camera is concerned. Try to take a picture of her and she'll run, but give her the camera and a mirror and she'll do all sort of posing. At least my daughter will!

My oldest just loves taking pictures. She is very good at nature photography. And yes, if there isn't interesting subject matter, she will take self portraits in front of a mirror, too. The little one just started running from cameras all together about 5 years ago. She does sit and smile for school pictures so it's not a total lost.

They go by fast though. Our last week especially between going up to the cabin, taking Callie out to dinner and then to the airport, open houses and then the weekend of waterparks. Went out to Red Robin for dinner last night. Shawn had plenty of freckled lemonade for you.

yeah, I am sure with Sean's treatments and anything we need to do to get the girls ready for school the rest of this month is going to fly by

My Little One should be home in about 15 minutes maybe the price of an unlocked door should be a photo. ;)

The girls were very talkative when they got home and I heard lots of good stuff so I think they enjoyed it. Shawn and I went shopping this morning withOUT children - nice.
