OMG -- the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breakup rumors are not only a bag of lies; they are racist, says one fed up site. Just when Shawty Mane's rap skills on Chris Brown's "Ladies Love Me" mix tape was taking off!
You mean to say, the rumor mill about Jalena's splitsville is hogwash? If you're surprised about the possibility of it being substantiated or debunked, welcome to planet earth -- a place where rumors thrive.
You have to admit; the buzz about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breaking up is a bit entertaining. After all, they both are entertainers -- duh.
And most, if not all of what you hear as "Breaking News" is just a play on words. But that is what makes Hollywood and Tinsel Town so intriguing, to say the least.
But one writer on Suite 101 has had enough of the malevolent rumors and unchecked alleged lies about what is really going on with the pop stars.
According to writer Marcus Hondro, rumors are one thing, but when a racist element is attached to them, it becomes -- well -- racist.
He points out that amid the rumors about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breaking up, several sites have recklessly attributed their demise to hip-hoppers and rappers.
There's nothing really racist about that -- they're just artists -- just like JB and Sel Go. Perhaps because they represent the "hood" and are African-American, Hondro insists that race must be a factor in the so-called misleading reporting?
Sure, it must alarm a polished Gomez when she kisses her altar boy beau, goes off for a series of concerts, then sees the Biebs hanging out with Lil Wayne, rapping on Chris Brown's mix tape as Shawty Mane, and rolling three-deep in Sean Kingston's Rolls Royce.
And thanks to Cee Lo Green (also African-American) her man is now sporting around a F*** You and F*** Her Too shirt. There goes the neighborhood, right? Maybe it's not race, and he is referring to a problem with class?
Perhaps Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are not the latest victims of a high-profile breakup. But if they are, who says the reason they called off their relationship is because Shawty Mane is back?
At the end of the day, it's just speculation, and that's what makes headlines -- just like Hondro's -- entertaining. Just sayin.
