As some of you know, I had surgery on July 28 to remove my right kidney which contained a large stone and a mass. The pain has kept me from spending much time online. I am healing about as expected and on Tuesday I will be going back to St. Louis to get the surgery staples removed and the results of the pathology report. I can't wait. The staples are sooo uncomfortable!
I'm looking forward to being well enough to drive again as well. I hate having to depend on others to get my groceries and run my errands. My boys say they don't mind, but still...
Have you ever had to deal with something like this?

My hubby almost died back in March of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.....sooooo terribly scary, but a true miracle.....he went through a 4 1/2 hr. operation; even the doctors said that he's a MIRACLE....90 to 92% of all people with this die...and instantly. It was so cool....the doctors said it was a miracle of God!
That entire week, I was doing EVERYTHING........running around doing tons of errands, etc.....like a "crazed woman!" Our son works full-time at the cemetery, so I took care of/handled everything that needed to be done...almost lived over at our union hall, but they were a real God send, and helped me a lot!
Please take good care of yourself, and don't try to do things too fast......you need to fully recover!
I'm so glad a miracle happened for your husband and I hope that he is doing well now.
Quite interesting, that when hubby was still in the hospital and I was runnin all over, he kept telling me, "Mom you need to rest," "Mom take some time for YOU." I'd never, ever heard that from him before....amazing!
So, yes, I'm sure it's the same in your illness, as well.......the boys really did come around....perhaps they have done some "long, hard" thinking, as well.
I am so thankful you're okey and have been keeping you in my prayers.....hubby is doing incredibly well, but I have to get him out walking 30 minutes a day......that's fine, as I've got a new exercise regiment, as well!
Glad to learn that you have recovered from your surgery. Thank you for the update. Have a wonderful weekend!
