CIA to UNICEF: Big Aid Has a Very Dirty Secret

Former National Security Advisor in the Clinton White House and failed nominee to head the CIA, Anthony "Tony" Lake, is now Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF.

Having a background in Western intelligence is a requirement to run a Big Aid "familia." Every head of any of the major international aid agencies comes vetted by years of loyal service up to and including being a "made man" (or woman in today's equal opportunity offender circles) like Tony Lake.

An interesting article, and there are no doubts some serious problems with international aid programs. I think it's a real shame that the article didn't document some of the more egregious examples of international aid as a "nefarious tool for dirty doings in the Third World by the powers that be in the west."

I know that these examples are out there, but in many circles they're hardly if ever mentioned, and when they are discussed, more suitable alternatives are rarely raised.

I have not read the article but I'll bet that the money has been stolen/diverted, the goods have been stolen/diverted, what little got through has been "held for ransom" and so forth. Money is uncontrollable and this is another example.
