Kat Von D was all ready to marry Jesse James - she even had picked out her wedding dress. So why did they let distance come between them and their so-called fairy tale love?
New info is becoming available about the love that Kat Von D and Jesse James shared. That love, of course, now has dissolved, but it hasn't stopped Kat from airing it on this season of LA Ink.
Gil Lopez, the executive producer of Kat's show describes Von D's relationship with James as being a fairy tale love story. "We were really able to document what to all of us involved in the story is a fairy tale love story," Gil said.
While it might not match with the likes of Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast it is a love story that deserves to be heard. Like many love story heroines, Von D was head over heels for her 'prince' James. Perhaps it's a twentieth century fairy tale complete with ink to forever remember the experience. Kat, of course, had Jesse's 5th grade likeness inked on her ribcage and the show documented it all.
Kat, who was described as being 'madly in love' had even picked out her wedding dress. She was all ready to walk down the aisle with James until something came between her and her love - distance. Really? Being madly in love with someone and having the cash to hop aboard a plane any time they wanted to and still distance tore them apart? Something smells fishy here.
"They were both in love. There was the unfortunate distance that tears things apart, but she really tried and gave it [her] all... She really committed to it," Lopez said.
While long-distance relationships are hard to make work, they are not impossible to make work. Plenty of people do it every day, and these are people who cannot afford to see each other as Kat and Jesse can. Was distance really the reason for the split? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, fans will see their relationship flourish and dissolve during this season of LA Ink.
