Robert Pattinson Buys £18,500 Library Card -...

Robert Pattinson has followed in the footsteps of fellow British actor, Hugh Grant. Relax, Twi-hards. He hasn't left Kristen Stewart to amuse herself on the set of her new film The Huntsman while he goes off to pick up hookers. No, the Twilight heart-throb has actually decided to embark on a personal self-improvement program. And his first step was buying a library card.

Yes, Robert Pattinson just shelled out a whopping Â£18,500 for a lifetime membership in the famous London Library. Hugh Grant is also a member of the library, although whether he became a member before or after his infamous incident with American lady of the evening, Divine Brown is unknown. Anyway, R-Pattz decided to sign up and shell out some of his Twilight-earned cash because reading has recently become a top priority for him. He's reportedly taken to "burying his head in books in the library for hours at a time."

And what exactly caused Pattinson to embark upon this sudden quest for erudition?

"Robert decided he'd been spending too much time lying about smoking, watching movies and munching junk food," explains an inside source. "[So], he wants to expand his mind."

Well, kudos to Robert Pattinson. As everyone knows, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. And, unlike Hugh Grant, it didn't even take a sex scandal to make him get up of his rear end and do something constructive. Way to go, Rob.

On the other hand, it is possible to read books and remain addicted to cigarettes and unhealthy food. Let's hope Robert Pattinson got rid of the cancer sticks and candy bars after he got his library card. If not before.
