Wow, that's really wonderful! That is a difficult organizaton to get into......our son was a member for some of his college career, but then he got "burned out" with college and let his grades slip below the 3.75, I think, so didn't remain a member at graduation. That will really look good on your resumes! Congrats!

Thank you very much Nora!! I only have 3 months left of college, so I plan on working my butt off to keep it. I am really looking forward to adding it to my resume and also they automatically give you 3 letters of reference. Yay!

You know, I think this means a LOT more to girls than guys.....our son was so sick of all the "issues" and "problems" he/we had with the university overall, it really affected his grades......he got to the point he didn't "give a darn" about the National Honor Society anymore and just wanted out! Well, even with his degree, he is STILL working at the same cemetery.......LOL!!!!!

I think you are right Nora. There is a lot of garbage and drama at college's these days. Even in an all adult Medical College, it amazes me just how many people act like they are still 15. The guys usually do give up faster on the higher grades and just focus on getting out. I think the honor society is a way of distraction for us girls...a way of not seeing silly drama. I know I study so much at school, I no longer even see silly crap. LOL

All I can say is that I'm thankful our son is DONE with college........you know, the past two years (at the 4 yr. private university), I could count on at LEAST one unpleasant, major encounter with all the "idiots" at the school (by phone)....I even told them I would never step foot on their campus and they could just cancel our parents' magazine subscription to the college and its events, as we had NO interest whatsoever in what went on........I know it sounds mean, but we dealt with problems upon problems....I just got sick of it! I think they all know me by name over there, as I've gotten into some very HEATED discussions.

Wow, that sounds like a very poorly run institute and they should be reported to a board of colleges in your area. I have had friends report a couple of colleges for very similar actions.
