Did you take a vacation this summer?

Usually we take a short driving vacation or we go to Vegas for a week, but this summer we stayed home and it doesn't look like we will be taking a vacation. Even though we probably have enough money to take a vacation I feel better just holding on to the money just in case. The price of gas went down some, but it's still so high that I don't want to drive very far either. I think I'll start putting money towards some sort of vacation for next summer.

I know some people who are taking vacations this summer, but it seems that many people are skipping out on a vacation this summer to save some money.

I did take a few trips to my mom and dads which is almost like a mini vacation for me. In her backyard my dad planted a lot of pretty plants and flowers to look at. They also have a pool which my daughter loves to swim in. So even though we didn't take a vacation, it was nice to go there a few times and swim and relax.
