I will be dropping Aria off at church this morning (she's acolyte this morning) and heading to the hospital.
Sean's tests results all came back negative so whatever spiked his fever wasn't anything serious so he should be coming home this morning. As long as I can get him out of there by 11am I will be bringing him home and heading to work. Otherwise we will be making phone calls for someone else to pick him up. Though, with the way things work, we won't know till about 11am.
I am glad it was nothing serious and that he was in the hospital for it all even though I know he would have rather been home. This means the first few days after chemo when we were in the middle of a horrible heat wave he was in AC which I am sure was a comfort to him. Plus, he had nausea meds that could be administered through his IV which means they work faster...antibiotics and Tylenol through his IV...nurses around in case he needed anything...and I actually got a lot of rest instead of being on the edge of sleep wondering if he needed anything. (Especially once we knew it wasn't anything serious last night)
I work noon - 7pm today and then I have the rest of the week off. I figured Sean will need some care the whole week because after his first chemo it took him about a week to feeling more normal...or at least his current version of normal.
Each morning will be radiation as usual.
Tuesday Aria and I have an appointment at WARM 103.3 to pick up a prize pack Aria won as "Kid of the Week."
Wednesday is Aria's physical for college.
The rest is just time for all of us to rest and relax.
Thank you for all the prayers through Sean's second round of chemo. His third and final round should be August 11th. I know we will need more prayers throughout and especially once he begins his last chemo. I will also have to figure out what I am doing as far as work then...life is going to get very interesting I think...

hoping for some wonderful relaxation this week...combined with getting a few things done that I need to...
thank you
Hugs,
Mare~
PS: ALL the tests coming out negative are wonderful too!
so...
it was pretty hot here and I am definitely glad Sean was in the AC in the hospital
And yes, the AC in the hospital would probably be Central Air -- the only place we've ever had that was when we lived in Florida for a few years, they build the homes with it....big difference.
Oh, our son was over today for the day, he finally got a day off - the day (we only live about 20-30 minutes apart), we had 110 heat index, he had 115! Yuck!
which helps for sleeping and when the heat gets to be too much for Sean...which hasn't been too bad till this heat wave which is why I am glad he got stuck in the hospital instead...especially since it ended up being nothing serious
Good to hear all is well with Sean and I hope his coming home goes smoothly.
Enjoy your week with the family Katryn. Sean, rest up as much as possible, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'll let everyone know when we get back on Tuesday :)
though I know he wanted to get home...he hates being stuck in the hospital...it was nice to be able to get him home before I had to get to work
it was pretty good timing really...
Hugs!
(((hugs)))
i continue to pray for you all....
blessings
I have a feeling this should be a good week
I was glad he was in the AC this time though, it was way too hot around here and I know when one is nauseous heat is even worse...we did push to get him out ASAP Sunday morning though...not just because I had to get to work ;)
getting ready to take Aria in this morning :)
